Amadeus Total Rail Customer Forum: Monday

Last night, we kicked off the long-anticipated third Amadeus Total Rail Customer Forum with a cocktail event for the delegates and speakers, at Le Palais de la Mediterranee. The Forum is taking place in Sophia Antipolis, France, and is bringing together rail industry experts from across the world to discuss and debate the issues facing the railway industry as it enters a new age of innovation and deregulation.

To break the ice, we introduced our ‘Games of the World’ session – this involved playing with wooden games from around the world such as skittles, mikado and building blocks, with the delegates teaming up to tackle different tasks. The games were intended to help delegates get to know each other, and certainly established an atmosphere of camaraderie! As the delegates got acquainted and started to discuss the sessions ahead, we began to look forward to the workshops taking place this afternoon, when delegates will work together to brainstorm about the issues currently facing the global railway industry. If the delegates are as good at working together as they are at socialising, these are sure to be productive! So today, the Total Rail Customer Forum begins in earnest with an introduction to Amadeus Total Rail by Diane Bouzebiba and Ian Wheeler, which will be followed by a number of presentations, with the themed workshops in the afternoon. We hope that the success of the evening has set the tone for the rest of the Forum, and eagerly anticipate today’s sessions.
