On the 13th of June, nearly 200 people gathered in Paris for the results of the “Trophées de l’innovation” organised by l’Écho Touristique. Out of 100 products submitted to win one of the 9 awards, Amadeus was awarded the “Trophée de l’Innovation” for Agent Track in the “B to B website” category!
Amadeus Agent Track establishes itself as a simple and intuitive tool, which removes the complexity from rail booking. It allows travel agents to compare fares on one single screen and is integrated in Amadeus Profile, PNR and Mid- and Back-office, ensuring an end-to-end flow.
Amadeus’ goal is to enable travel agencies to sell multiple Railways in a standardized way. So far SNCF, Eurostar and Thalys are available on Agent Track and we are working hard to have other major European Railways available too.
"We felt it was essential to reward entrepreneurship, encourage risk-taking and celebrate those who think that the future of their business depends on investment and development (…)" explains Cédric Neau, editor of L’Écho Touristique.
This reward is a very encouraging sign as Agent Track is currently under deployment in France and is the proof that an easier way of booking rail is needed by travel agents - and Amadeus is providing that solution.
