Brian Simpson, MEP and Chairman of the Transport and Tourism Committee gave us his view on European rail deregulation and its effects in the rail passenger sector. Watch the video interview now


As well as discussing everything from the European rail deregulation' effects, through to the reliability and affordability of the rail network itself, we wanted to understand how Brian thinks that the European rail customer experience could be improved.

Brian underlines the dfficulties of todays rail ticketing and reservation system. For him in the 21st Century it is so impossible to deliver a rail ticket from Manchester to Milan.
