It is wrong to think that air is the only source of revenue for travel sellers. To discover the true potential of non-air services, we launched an online poll among UK travel sellers to uncover the true potential of rail and other products when it comes to growing your revenue and profitability

TOP SELLER NON-AIR SERVICES

The poll looked at non-air services, and the top performing services in the current economic scenario. Results show that leisure customers are requesting:
  • Hotel bookings
  • Cruise
  • Airport Transfers

On the other hand, the requested business travel services are:

  • Hotel
  • Rail
  • Car rental bookings

The poll results showed, that the level of non-air commissions that travel providers offer, drives the success of additional revenue for travel sellers. Also, rail becomes a good selling opportunity, as business travellers are demanding more and more rail tickets.

However, the poll suggested that technology could help to make non-air bookings even easier to sell, with automatization, more integrated technology and sales training being the top three on their wish-lists for next year.
